Covid-19 Precautions on Rental Cars

Covid-19 has affected the entire world and caused radical changes in many sectors. The travel sector was one of the areas most affected by this period. However, with the extra measures taken during this period, travels continued safely. TURSOY continues to make a difference with the measures it has taken as a pioneer in the sector during this process.

Vehicle Cleaning and Disinfection

TURSOY, which was very meticulous about cleaning and hygiene even before the pandemic, has increased this sensitivity even more during this period. After each transfer, both the interior and exterior of our vehicles are subjected to detailed cleaning. It is ensured that the materials used in cleaning are also effective against viruses. After routine cleaning procedures, the disinfection process performed with UVC devices neutralizes all microorganisms in the vehicle. This method has the capacity to neutralize all bacteria and viruses and aims to offer maximum safety to customers.

In-Vehicle Precautions

TURSOY, which prioritizes customer health and safety, continues this goal with the measures taken in the vehicle. There are disposable masks and hand sanitizers for passengers in our vehicles. In addition, we have made some changes as a company to support the social distancing rules brought about by the pandemic process:

There is no in-car beverage or food service. However, special requests are evaluated for long-term transfers, these products are supplied only for the customer who requests them and are removed from the vehicle at the end of the transfer.

Plastic Partition

In order to maintain social distance at the maximum level during travels, there is a removable partition in our vehicles. This special partition made of plexiglass material provides extra protection between the captain and the passenger. Depending on the customer’s request, this partition can be added to the vehicle before the transfer. This is a very important feature, especially for customers who are in the risk group or who want to take extra precautions.

Air Conditioning and Ventilation

Vehicle ventilation is very important on long journeys. There are 2 separate air conditioning systems in our vehicles; in the rear and front sections. In order for these systems not to harbor bacteria and viruses, filters and equipment are renewed during periodic vehicle maintenance. Disinfection is regularly applied to these equipment and air ducts. For those who do not want to use air conditioning and ventilation, our vehicles have butterfly windows, which provide natural ventilation. Night travel is an ideal option for passengers who do not want to use air conditioning, especially in the summer months.

Legal Measures

During the pandemic process, some legal regulations were made in order to comply with the instructions of the ministry. As TURSOY, we fully comply with these regulations and inform our customers about this. The passenger capacity in our vehicles is limited to only 50% occupancy permit as per the instructions of the ministry. People aged 65 and over must obtain a travel permit, but individuals under the age of 18 can benefit from our transfer services without obtaining permission from their parents.
